Let's beat bowel cancer together - make sure your patients #KnowTheHigh5
April is Bowel Cancer Awareness Month and we're proud to support Bowel Cancer UK's #KnowTheHighFive campaign. Knowing the five symptoms of bowel cancer could save lives and we encourage everyone to ensure they are aware of all the symptoms. Please share the quiz so as many people as possible know what to look out for – quiz participants can even enter a prize draw to win a year's supply of loo roll!
Although treatable and curable with early intervention, bowel cancer is the UK's second biggest cancer killer. As demand for endoscopy services has dramatically increased, Bowel Cancer UK are campaigning for a fully funded action plan to tackle the crisis, which includes FIT screening from age 50 throughout the UK.
Omnimed would also like to thank Bowel Cancer UK for their #GetOnARoll campaign, which has led to many UK retailers and manufacturers including the symptoms of bowel cancer on their packaging to help early diagnosis and treatment. Well done to all the retailers and manufacturers too!
