  • Carbon Reduction Plan

We have made a commitment to making specific changes internally to ensure Omnimed is a more sustainable supplier via a range of internal initiatives. Details of both completed and planned carbon reduction initiatives can be found in our Carbon Reduction Plan.

  • Policies and procedures

To ensure that we are doing everything we can to support Green Endoscopy, we will be reviewing our relevant policies and procedures to identify areas where we can make improvements then set about implementing the changes needed to make Omnimed a greener, more sustainable supplier. Updated details on policies and procedures will be available on this page.

  • Packaging

We are also taking steps to reduce plastic waste by working with manufacturers to find ways we can provide products with minimal packaging. We're pleased to be the only UK distributor for Black Eye™, which come in newly designed blister packs that reduce plastic use by 50% compared to plastic cylinders. We believe that by reducing plastic waste, we can help to save our seas and protect the environment for future generations.

  • Deliveries

One of the key ways we're working to be greener is offerby partnering with DPD, a sustainability award-winning courier. By using DPD for all our deliveries, we're able to reduce our carbon footprint and ensure that our products are being delivered in a more eco-friendly way. DPD are taking a carbon-reduced step in the right direction and we're proud to be working with them as part of our commitment to sustainability.

  • Training

To help our UK hospitals progress with their Green Endoscopy goals, we will be providing training sessions to assist in educating hospital staff on how Omnimed can help you and your patients work towards a greener, more sustainable hospital.  Watch this space for details of events to secure your space! We welcome connecting with Training Leads at NHS and private UK hospitals so if this is an area you work in, get in touch.

  • Feedback

To help us ensure we can support Green Endoscopy in the most effective way possible, the key thing we are prioritising is feedback.  Feedback from those working within endoscopy at our UK hospitals gives us the best chance of success at being able to support your hospital in meeting Green Endoscopy goals.  One way we are collating feedback is via our Green Endoscopy survey which takes just a few minutes to complete.
