Omnimed attends EAEAG Study Day at the Quadram Institute

Omnimed attended the East Anglia Endoscopy Associates Group (EAEAG) Study Day held at the state-of-the-art Quadram Institute at Norfolk and Norwich Hospital.

The event on Saturday 22nd April was organised by EAEAG, an education group for nurses working within endoscopy, and aimed to provide the latest updates and trends in the field of endoscopy. Omnimed's National Sales Coordinator, Calum Holliday, and Area Sales Consultant for South East England and London, Clive Waters, were in attendance.

The Quadram Institute is one of Europe’s largest endoscopy centres, boasting a multi-million pound facility on Norwich Research Park that is home to a range of endoscopy and bowel cancer screening services. The NNUH Gastroenterology department at Quadram Institute will be able to conduct at least 40,000 procedures a year in the facility, making it one of the largest endoscopy centres in Europe. The Quadram Institute’s mission is to develop solutions to worldwide challenges in human health, food and disease. It has been created by four founding partners – the NNUH, University of East Anglia, Quadram Institute Bioscience and the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) – to work across four research themes: the gut, healthy ageing, food innovation and food safety.

During the study day, attendees heard from a fantastic lineup of speakers on various topics related to endoscopy, and Omnimed was particularly excited to attend Dr. A. Douds' presentation on "Greener Endoscopy," as this aligned with the launch of Omnimed’s Green Endoscopy Project. This project is a series of initiatives aimed at reducing Omnimed's carbon footprint and preserving the environment.

Omnimed would like to extend its gratitude to EAEAG for organising the study day and to the Quadram Institute for hosting such an informative and inspiring event. We would also like to give special thanks to Mel MacCallum and Tyne Terry for the kind invitation. Omnimed is committed to continuing its support for the medical community through such events and initiatives.
